Dear human,
I'm glad you found your way here in search of hope!
You might be finding it quite tiring and stressful to deal with ongoing problems and symptoms, with no solutions in sight. It can be very discouraging to recognise that there is a problem and yet, despite many tries, one is not able to overcome the never-ending challenges. It can sometimes make us question if there is something wrong with us.
But wait a minute! My experience over the years of working as a psychologist has taught me that a person is always whole, there is nothing broken that needs to be fixed. Rather, what a person needs is a deeper, holistic approach of meeting and nurturing some hidden and often ignored parts, parts that need kind, non-judgmental attention so that they can not only recover from the symptoms, but experience a sense of overall health and well-being.
Therapy with me, therefore, is not just about symptom reduction or quick fixes. My approach focuses on diving deep and addressing the root causes of symptoms, one that takes a long-term investment and yields long-lasting, sustainable results.
The idea of long-term therapy can often sound unappealing. After all, we all have the desire to get rid of problems as quickly as we can. However, will we be satisfied with a superficial "fixing" of the problem without exploring why the problem keeps repeating in the first place? Can we strive to not just get rid of the symptoms, but to also cultivate a healthier sense of self by making deeper changes? It certainly is a long-term investment: and it is absolutely worth it.
